Black Queens eliminate Burkina Faso to reach AWC qualifiers final round

Ghana's Black Queens recorded a double over Burkina Faso to reach the final qualifying round of the 2014 African Women's Championship.

Yussif Bassigi's side romped to another 3-0 win at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday to wrap up 6-0 on aggregate.

Fiasa Ibrahim, who netted a double in the first leg win in Ouagadougou, opened the scoring with a fine finish on 22 minutes.

The striker chested down Hillia Kobbna's cross from the right and rifled one into the roof.

Four minutes later, Ghana were awarded a spot-kick and Agnes Aduako made no mistake to slot home the second goal.

Portia Boakye's effort was handled inside the box and Aduako expertly beat Burkina Faso goalkeeper Ami Sanbu.

Aduako grabbed a personal second in the 73rd minute when she tapped in Samira Suleiman's cross.

Ghana will face Ethiopia in the next qualifier for a slot in the finals to be hosted by Namibia in October.
