Italian giants Roma have signed Ghanaian midfielder Francis Obeng, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 27-year-old was snapped up from Italian fourth tier club Santarcangelo on the final day of the winter transfer window for an undisclosed fee.
Obeng who holds a Ghanaian passport will occupy one of the non-EU roster spots at the Giallorossi.
He is however likely to be sold to a foreign club in the summer to free up the limited spots with the expected return of Antonio Sanabria and Leandro Paredes who are currently on loan at Sassuolo and Chievo respectively.
Obeng, a former Nania FC player, has been roaming in Europe for a breakthrough since leaving Abedi Pele's team.
