Ghana and Juventus player Kwadwo Asamoah was on Saturday announced the 2012 Best Sports Personality.
The flagship award by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana was conferred on the Black Stars midfielder after he beat off competition from Ghana U-17 women's team captain Priscilla Okyere.
Asamoah was also crowned the Footballer of the Year ahead of Andre Ayew and Emmanuel Clottey for the year under review.
Priscilla Okyere also picked the Female Player of the Year after leading Ghana to an historic bronze at the 2012 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup.
Asante Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani was voted the Coach of the Year after leading the Ghana U17 female to win bronze in Azerbaijan.
The women's U-17 national team, the Black Maidens won the Team of the Year for their historic feat.
Tema Youth's Moses Odjier won the Promising Star of the Year.
For their fine run in their debut CAF Champions League last year, Berekum Chelsea were rewarded with the Club of the Year honours.
