The Deputy Minister for Education, Dr Clement Apaak, has referred an alleged assault involving two teachers and a final-year student of Techiman SHS to the Ghana Education Service (GES) for urgent investigation.
The move follows the circulation of a video showing two men assaulting the student, including stepping on his head.
According to Dr Apaak, the directive was issued by Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu, who has tasked the GES Director-General to investigate the incident and sanction anyone found culpable.
He stressed that misconduct by any stakeholder, including staff, students or parents, will not be tolerated and reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to maintaining safe learning environments in schools.
