Judicial Secretary Musah Ahmed has appealed to the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) to suspend its planned indefinite strike set to begin on November 2, 2026.
JUSAG announced the industrial action after the government failed to approve a proposed review of salaries and allowances for Judicial Service staff by the association’s deadline.
In a circular issued on October 31, Mr Ahmed said management was engaged in high-level discussions with government stakeholders to resolve the issue and remained committed to securing a fair outcome for staff.
He urged JUSAG members to return to work while negotiations continue, citing the broader national interest.
The appeal comes as efforts intensify to avert the strike and reach an agreement on the proposed conditions of service.
