The Ghanaian was struck on the head with a bottle inducing an immediate concussion but his condition is said to have been stabilized.
The club has since made a police report and announced rewards for information leading to the subsequent apprehension of the thugs.
This is the second time a Ghanaian has suffered any form of attack in the Eastern Europe.
In July this year, his former Ghana youth international teammate Samuel Inkoom had his home burgled after returning from international duty.
