Berlin FC spanks Union Rovers in FA Cup

Sunyani, (B/A) Dec. 16, GNA - Berekum Berlin Football Club beat Techiman Union Rovers 3-0 on penalties in their MTN sponsored F.A. Cup competition played at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Wednesday.

Both sides settled for a goalless drawn game at the end of regulation time but the Berlin lads proved their marksmanship during the penalty kicks, by scoring three of the kicks with Rovers failing to convert any of their kicks.

Yusif Alhassan, Philip Amankwaa and Eric Asante scored their kicks to qualify Berlin F/C for the next stage of the competition with Rovers thus kicked out of the competition.

Earlier in another match played at the same venue on Tuesday, Sunyani D.C. United mesmerized Savelugu Bibiem Stars from the Northern Region with a 3-0 win.
