One person has been confirmed dead after a three-storey building collapsed at Adenta New Site in the Greater Accra Region.
Two others are still trapped under the debris, while one survivor has been rescued and is receiving treatment at a health facility.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, June 3, prompting a major emergency response. Personnel from the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service are currently at the scene leading ongoing rescue operations.
According to police, the deceased is a woman, while the two persons still trapped are children.
Fire officers and police teams are working to clear the rubble and search for any additional victims who may still be buried under the collapsed structure.
The cause of the collapse has not yet been established, and the full extent of damage is still being assessed.
Rescue and recovery efforts are continuing as emergency teams remain on site working to save lives and secure the area.
