Accra, July 6, GNA - The Pair of Mike Aggrey and Frank Adu returned a net score of 68 to win this year's Republic Day GreenSome Golf Championship played at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra, on Sunday.
They were followed by the pair of Kobla Degbe and M. Joher with 69 net, Tinkorang Frimpong and his partner Samuel Odame placed third with 71 net, with Ayikwei Armah and C. List taking the fourth position with 72 net while the pair of Mary Asafu Adjaye and You came fifth with 74 net.
The one day event, which formed part of activities marking the 50th anniversary of Ghana's Republic, was sponsored by PHC Motors.
Mr Norman Don Kerly, Divisional Manager (Land Rover) of the Company said the company would continue to assist the Club to develop the game to meet national standards.
Mr Mike Aggrey, Captain of the Achimota Golf Club praised the company for the sponsorship and called on other corporate bodies to help develop the sport.
