France-based striker Asamoah Gyan is confident of steering the Black Stars to victory when they meet Sudan in a World Cup qualifier on Sunday.

The Rennes forward struggled with injury last season but he is picking up his form this term.

He has scored two goals so far in Ligue One and the former Udinese sharp shooter says he can replicate his form in the French top flight for Ghana.

“When I look at my game I can see I am getting my best form back because two goals in four games is a good return,” Gyan said.

“I am fully fit so I can play for 90 minutes but it is up to the coach.”

Despite the Black Stars commanding lead in the group and their away win over the Nile Croccodiles in their previous game in the group Gyan says the Sudanese must be respected.

“With the quality of players we have we should be able to get three points but we should be careful about assuming that it is won even before we play, “ the striker said.

“If we play to our strengths, show them respect and do what we do best, the three points will be ours.”

Ghana will qualify for the World Cup if they beat Sudan and Mali and Benin draw in Group Four's other game.
