Teshie, a rare home of boxing in the Greater Accra Region, will host a four-bout boxing thriller on Saturday to promote the sport in the area.

The event, being staged jointly by Alhaji Toffik's Ambition Boxing Promotion and Teshie Akrong Boxing Club at the Teshie Gorno Methodist Church, will feature Gabriel Adoku putting his welterweight title at stake against Sampson Tettey, while Isaac Serlom and Ezekiel Afazie clash in an eight-round welterweight contest.

Alfred Tetteh and Librana Mbazor will also engage in a featherweight contest, while Edward Kamdasi fights Rocky Mustaphah in a super-featherweight contest.

The event which will have the great Azumah Nelson, Ike Quartey, D.K. Poison, all former world champions, as well as Ike Quartey's trainer Okoe Odamten and Deputy Sports Minister, O.B. Amoah, in attendance, will also have our amateur bout on the bill to entertain the expected crowd.

The show, a first of its kind within Teshie over a long while, is being supported by T. Konya, an independent parliamentary candidate in the Ledzokuku Constituency in the December general polls.
