Ghana's Black Maidens will face Japan in the quarter-finals of the ongoing FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup after both teams secured victories in their respective Round of 16 matches.
The Black Maidens booked their place in the last eight following a dramatic 5-4 penalty shootout victory over Argentina on Wednesday at the Mohammed VI Sports Complex in Morocco.
The encounter ended 1-1 after regulation time, forcing the two sides into a penalty shootout, where Ghana held their nerve to seal qualification.
Japan, meanwhile, secured their quarter-final spot with a 3-1 victory over Kenya on Thursday, setting up a meeting with the West African side.
The two teams will meet on Sunday, November, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
Ghana head coach Joe Nana Adarkwa and his players will now turn their attention to the crucial encounter as they seek to overcome the Japanese challenge and secure a place in the semi-finals.
Despite a difficult start to the competition, the Black Maidens have shown resilience and determination to reach the quarter-final stage.
However, Japan will present another stern test for Ghana, who will be hoping to maintain their momentum and continue their impressive run in the tournament.
