Hearts of Oak defender Kelvin Osei Asibey says he is ready to represent Ghana at international level after an impressive start to the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
The centre-back has featured in all eight of Hearts' league matches, helping the Phobians collect 17 points as they maintain a strong start to the campaign.
His consistent performances, including an impressive display in the victory over Basake Holy Stars at the weekend, have strengthened his case for a possible Black Stars call-up ahead of Ghana's 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Somalia.
Speaking after the win over Holy Stars, Asibey expressed his willingness to serve the national team whenever the opportunity arises.
"As long as I am a citizen of the Republic of Ghana, I am ready; whenever the nation needs my services, I’ll come and serve the nation very well," he said.
The defender has been named Player of the Match in each of Hearts of Oak's last three games, underlining his growing importance to head coach Nebojsa Kapor's side.
His form comes at a time when Ghana are looking to revive their hopes of qualifying for the 2027 AFCON after suffering defeats against Côte d'Ivoire and The Gambia in their opening two matches.
The Black Stars are scheduled to face Somalia in a double-header next month as they seek their first victory in the qualifying campaign.
Asibey will be hoping to maintain his impressive form when Hearts of Oak travel to face newly promoted Debibi United in their Matchday Nine fixture this weekend.
