Real Madrid got the perfect preparation for Sunday's El Clasico, with Kylian Mbappe and Yan Diomande scoring fantastic goals in a comfortable 4-1 home victory over RB Leipzig.
The first half was very much played on even terms, with Bernardo Silva's opportunist poke home from close range, after Maarten Vandevoordt blocked Arda Guler's shot but then lost sight of the ball, flattering to the hosts.
The second half was a different matter with Real cruising, and it took just seven minutes for Guler to double the lead after Mbappe headed Bellingham's cross beyond the keeper's stretch.
The result never looked in doubt, but maybe needed some gloss, and it got just that from two fine strikes.
Mbappe's unstoppable curler from the edge of the box inside the edge of the box is almost regulation for him, and was trumped by Yan Diomande's incredible volley from Brahim Diaz's lofted ball across the penalty area.
The visitors, for whom substitute Tidiam Gomis scored a consolation before Diomande's strike, have lost two of their three games so far in the competition, while Real are perfect from three games - and go to the Camp Nou on Sunday full of confidence.
