Black Stars midfielder Kwasi Sibo has donated a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine to the Kronum Afracho Polytechnic Hospital in Kumasi to help newborn babies struggling to breathe.
The donation, made through the midfielder’s Sibo Foundation, aims to improve neonatal care and support the survival of vulnerable babies experiencing respiratory difficulties.
The CPAP machine provides breathing support by delivering a continuous flow of air to keep a baby’s airways open, making it an important piece of equipment in the treatment of newborns with breathing problems.
The gesture highlights Sibo’s commitment to giving back to his community and using his growing football profile to support people in need.
The Ghana midfielder, who plays for Libyan club Asswehly SC, has continued to pursue philanthropic initiatives through his foundation alongside his professional football career.
His latest intervention is expected to strengthen the hospital’s capacity to care for newborns requiring respiratory assistance and provide hope to families whose babies face potentially life-threatening breathing difficulties.
The donation also reflects the importance of private support in improving access to essential medical equipment, particularly in healthcare facilities caring for vulnerable newborns.
Meanwhile, Sibo is preparing with his Asswehly SC teammates for their CAF Champions League preliminary-round return-leg fixture against Esperance this weekend.
The midfielder is also expected to return to the Black Stars squad for next month’s doubleheader against Somalia in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
