Bibiani Gold Stars chief executive Akwasi Adu says none of the 18 Ghana Premier League clubs have received the promised GHC1m funding, six matches into the 2026/27 season.
The financial support was announced at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Congress at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence before the start of the campaign, with each top-flight club expected to benefit.
However, the funds are yet to be disbursed, leaving clubs waiting for clarity on when the money will be paid.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Adu said GFA leaders were expected to meet representatives of the clubs to discuss the outstanding payments.
"No Premier League club has received the promised GHC1m, but I know the Ghana Football Association leadership, together with the clubs, will be meeting soon to discuss when the money will be paid to the clubs," he said.
Adu also urged clubs to take greater responsibility for their finances, stressing that teams should not depend entirely on the GFA for funding.
"It's an association, and we, the clubs, have decided to join, so we must have money for our season and not wait on the GFA for money, but we are confident the money will be paid," he added.
The delay comes as the 18 clubs continue their league campaigns, with the promised funding expected to provide financial support throughout the season.
Meanwhile, Gold Stars will be looking to revive their campaign when they travel to face newly promoted Debibi United on Sunday, 18 October.
The Matchday Seven fixture is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT, with the Miners hoping to return to winning ways.
