Derby County forward Mohammed Fuseini has received a late call-up to Ghana's squad for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after Mohammed Kudus withdrew from the team.
Kudus has decided against making an immediate return to the Black Stars after recently recovering from the long-term injury that ruled him out of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Fuseini's inclusion comes amid concerns over the fitness of striker Prince Adu Kwabena, who suffered a head injury during the weekend.
The 23-year-old last featured for Ghana during the 2025 Unity Cup, where he made his debut and scored his first international goal in a victory over Trinidad and Tobago.
Since then, Fuseini had not received another national team invitation, making this his first call-up since that appearance.
The forward boosted his credentials at the weekend by scoring a late equaliser in Derby County's 1-1 draw with Burnley in the English Championship.
