Black Stars goalkeepers' trainer Daniel Gasper is confident Ghana's shot-stoppers will be fully prepared for the stern challenge posed by England in their second Group L fixture at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars began their campaign on a positive note, securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Panama at BMO Field in Toronto last week.
Caleb Yirenkyi emerged as Ghana's hero, scoring a late winner to hand the four-time African champions all three points in their opening match.
Goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi started the encounter but was replaced by Benjamin Asare at the end of the first half. However, the St. Gallen shot-stopper has since returned to training ahead of Tuesday's crucial clash against the Three Lions.
Speaking to the Ghana Football Association's official website, Gasper expressed confidence in the readiness of all his goalkeepers, including Joseph Anang, as Ghana prepare to face one of the tournament favourites.
"Obviously, England is one of the best teams in the world," he said.
"They have certain characteristics and a style of play, and we’re exposing our goalkeepers to those conditions.
"We’re preparing them not only for the timing of catching and boxing, but also the physical challenge they’ll face.
"I have no doubt our goalkeepers are prepared for all the conditions against England," Gasper added.
Ghana will take on England on Tuesday, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 GMT, as Otto Addo's side seek to strengthen their chances of progressing to the knockout stage.
