Hearts of Oak midfielder Rocky Dwamena has successfully undergone surgery after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.
The surgery was performed on Friday night at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, and it was confirmed to have gone well.
Dwamena picked up the injury during Hearts of Oak’s 2-2 draw against Bibiani GoldStars SC at the Accra Sports Stadium on 26th October 2025, in a Ghana Premier League matchday seven fixture.
According to the medical team, the midfielder is expected to be sidelined for approximately eight to nine months as he begins his rehabilitation process.
The former Asante Kotoko player joined Hearts of Oak from Dreams FC in August 2025. He made four league appearances for the Phobians before suffering the setback.
Hearts of Oak are expected to monitor his recovery closely as he works towards a return to competitive action.
