Ghana international Denis Odoi has sealed a move to NAC Breda, joining the Dutch Eredivisie side on a free transfer.
The veteran defender has signed a contract running until the close of the season, with an option that could extend his stay by a further year.
His arrival reunites him with compatriot Kamal Sowah, rekindling a connection last seen when both featured for the Black Stars at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
NAC Breda announced the deal on Tuesday, emphasising that Odoi’s addition comes at a crucial moment as the club battles a series of injury setbacks at the back.
His adaptability across multiple defensive roles, coupled with his leadership qualities, is expected to offer the team an immediate lift.
Odoi joins with a résumé shaped by years of top-flight football. He previously represented Club Brugge and Royal Antwerp, earning significant European experience, and had a spell in England with Fulham.
His career has also included stops at KSC Lokeren, Sint-Truiden and OH Leuven, following formative years in the academies of Anderlecht, Genk and Leuven.
At 37, he is widely expected to step straight into the Breda lineup as the club works to fortify its defensive structure in the weeks ahead.
