Alexander Djiku completes Spartak Moscow move after leaving Fenerbahce

Ghana international Alexander Djiku has completed a move to Russian side Spartak Moscow.

The experienced defender joins the side on a two-year deal after leaving Turkish side Fenerbahce.

The 31-year-old's move is reportedly worth €2.5 million plus potential add-ons.

The Russian giants officially communicated the capture of the 31-year-old on Tuesday.

Djiku was in the Black Stars starting lineup that beat Mali on Monday, September 8, at the Accra Sports Stadium, scoring the only goal of the game.

Before the move to Russia, Djiku had been linked with French Ligue 1 sides, including Lille, Nice, and Toulouse.

Djiku joined Fenerbahce in 2023 after ending his stay at Strasbourg. He scored four goals in 75 appearances for the Turkish side.
