Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has revealed the reasons behind his decision to commit his future to Premier League club AFC Bournemouth, despite attracting interest from top clubs like Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 25-year-old striker has signed a long-term contract extending his stay at the Cherries until 2030.
In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, Semenyo emphasized the importance of feeling valued as a key factor in his choice to remain at Bournemouth.
“When you somewhere, you want to feel wanted, and I didn’t feel that elsewhere so this was my safe place," he said.
"I felt wanted and it’s good to be back. It’s still the best place to be right now” Semenyo added.
After an impressive 2024/25 season, where he netted 11 goals and provided six assists in 37 league appearances, Semenyo established himself as a crucial player under manager Andoni Iraola.
The Ghana forward is poised to play a significant role as Bournemouth prepare for the upcoming campaign.
