Dreamz Ladies FC made history this past weekend by claiming their first-ever Women's Premier Super Cup title with a 2-1 victory over Ampem Darkoa Ladies.
The final at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence saw Sarah Nyarko and Stella Nyamekye score for Dreamz, marking the team's milestone as the first from the Northern Zone to win the competition.
Sarah Nyarko opened the scoring early in the 14th minute, giving Dreamz a crucial lead. Ampem Darkoa, commonly known as Nana Mma, had several chances to equalize before halftime but couldn't capitalize, heading into the break still trailing.
After the restart, Dreamz Ladies maintained control, and their efforts were rewarded with a penalty when the ball struck the hand of an Ampem Darkoa defender. Stella Nyamekye confidently stepped up and converted from the spot, extending Dreamz's lead to 2-0.
Ampem Darkoa pulled one goal back late in the match, reducing the deficit to 2-1, but failed to seize further opportunities to level the score. The final whistle blew with Dreamz Ladies securing the championship in the fourth edition of the Women's Premier Super Cup.
In the third-place playoff, Hasaacas Ladies claimed bronze after a 2-0 victory over their opponents, with Vivian Cudjoe and Mercy Attobrah both finding the back of the net.
