Mr. Sammy Anim Addo, CEO of the Baby Jet Foundation and Bronx Boxing Promotions has tipped John Laryea the WBO Africa Featherweight champion and Daniel Gorsh the UBO Africa Bantamweight champion as the next great things to happen to Ghana Boxing.
Speaking to this portal in an interview, Anim Addo said the game of boxing is very dicey and one needs to be tactful, disciplined and always ready for the big fights.
He expressed that people say Ghana Boxing is down, but he thinks otherwise because two boxers have shown promise to become world champions.
He mentioned John Laryea aka ‘Expensive’ and Daniel Gorsh also known as ‘The Emperor’ as two very good boxers who can become world champions if they are managed well.
He also named Sheriff Quaye who is rated 8th by the WBO in the world ranking as well as Jacob Laryea aka ‘Chorkor Fire’ to become world contenders very soon.
Mr. Sammy Anim Addo noted that the Bronx Boxing Gym also called the Home of Champions has something special in Coach Lawrence Carl Lokko who is highly respected by the boxers.
The Bronx Gym has experienced boxers like Kpapko Allotey, and Felix Ajom as well as rising stars like Quartey who shook the Bukom Boxing Arena with a splendid performance against Lartey a soldier during the Ghana Pro Boxing League.
