Ghana international, Mohammed Kudus, shares his journey of determination in achieving his dreams despite initial challenges upon joining FC Nordsjaelland.
At the age of 23, Kudus made the leap from the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana to the Danish club, drawn by his impressive skills on the field.
Reflecting on his transition to Europe, Kudus recalls facing the biting cold but remained resolute in his pursuit of success.
While his inaugural season posed difficulties, Kudus gradually found his footing and emerged as a beloved figure among fans.
"It was very cold but there was no turning back," Kudus recounted to The Guardian. "I was there for two seasons and in my first season, I wasn’t playing much. I needed time to get used to everything. I played a little bit at the end of the season and the following season I was really settled."
Adapting to the unfamiliar culture and harsh weather conditions proved challenging.
"I needed time to get used to the culture, and the weather. It was snowing, your boots are freezing, you don’t even feel it when you touch the ball," he explained.
Kudus' remarkable performance caught the attention of Dutch powerhouse Ajax, securing him a lucrative deal before ultimately making a move to West Ham United.
