Ghana Premier League side, Berekum Chelsea has confirmed the appointment of Samuel Boadu as the head coach of the club.
Boadu replaces Christopher Ennin who has left the club. The former Ghana U-20 coach has signed a year’s deal with the Berekum-based club.
"We officially announce the appointment of Mr Samuel Boadu, as the new gaffer of the club," a club statement read.
"Coach Boadu brings on board his rich experience and expertise. Thanks."
He is expected to be officially unveiled ahead of Berekum Chelsea’s home game against Accra Lions on Sunday, March 10, 2024.
Samuel Boadu, who is famously remembered for steering Hearts of Oak to win treble in his debut season has been with Kumasi Cornerstone after his sack by the Phobian Club in September 2022.
With Boadu assuming the reins, the club aims to enhance their position in the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
Currently occupying the sixth spot on the league table, they trail league leaders Samartex by five points with 15 games left in the season.
