Residents in parts of Accra West are experiencing power outages following a technical challenge on the network operated by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
The affected areas include Mamprobi, Camara, Interplast, Starwin, Pega Transport, Adabraka Rainbow, Adabraka Roman Boys, Odawna and Agbogbloshie Galaway, among others.
The disruption, which began on Thursday, June 4, has left several homes and businesses without electricity.
“The Electricity Company of Ghana, Accra West Region, wishes to inform our cherished customers and the general public in the underlisted areas that the outage being experienced is as a result of a technical challenge in our network,” ECG stated in part of a press release.
The power distribution company said maintenance teams have been deployed to identify and fix the fault to ensure full restoration of electricity to affected areas.
“We assure affected customers that our engineers are working to rectify the fault and restore supply,” the statement added.
The utility provider further apologised to customers for the inconvenience caused.
