Ghana sensation, Mohammed Kudus put on a dazzling show on Thursday night to propel Ajax to a delightful 4-1 victory over Ludogorets in the Uefa Europa League.
After missing out on qualification to the Uefa Champions League, the Black Stars forward and the Dutch giants are aiming to qualify for the group stage of the 2023/24 Europa League campaign.
Today, Ajax locked horns with Ludogorets in an away match played in Bulgaria.
In the first-leg encounter between the two clubs, Mohammed Kudus started in the attack of the visiting team amid transfer speculations linking him with a move this summer.
Despite fears that he would be under pressure, the Black Stars poster boy was as cool as ice and played his game with one thing in mind; help his team to secure the needed victory.
The 23-year-old forward opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a well-taken low shot that left the Ludogorets goalkeeper standing.
Just two minutes later, Mohammed Kudus was presented with another chance and made no mistake as he equalised to double the lead for Ajax.
Later in the 50th minute of the second half, the exciting attacker scored his third to complete his hat-trick to the delight of Ghanaians rooting for the forward to hit top form before the AFCON qualifier against the Central African Republic next month.
In the big win over Ludogorets, Brian Brobbey scored the other goal for Ajax while a penalty kick converted by Olivier Verdon served as the only consolation goal.
