Ajax and Dutch football legend, Marco van Basten has praised Ghana playmaker, Kudus Mohammed.
The 22-year-old despite a torrid start of the season has been revived under interim boss, John Heitinga.
Kudus has so far scored 14 goals in all competitions.
He scored a spectacular free-kick over the weekend in their 4-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam and dedicated his goal to Christian Atsu- who tragically passed on last Saturday.
van Basten, who is a three-time Balloon D'or winner speaking in an interview picked the Ghanaian as a better footballer over Man United's Antony, and now believes he is Ajax's best player so far this season.
"Kudus is Ajax’s best player. What a class player. Why didn’t he always play under Schreuder? He often sat on the bench there. You let him stand for three or four games and you immediately see his class," he told Ziggo Sport.
Kudus Mohammed will hope to make manager John Heitinga's lineup when they face Bundesliga side Union Berlin in the playoffs of the Uefa Europa League on Thursday.
