Nsoatreman FC put up a top performance on Friday afternoon to see off Bibiani Gold Stars with a narrow 1-0 victory in the Ghana Premier League.
The team last season excelled in the National Division One League and secured a historic promotion to play in the Ghanaian top-flight league.
Having had their opening game of the season against Asante Kotoko last weekend postponed, Nsoatreman had to wait a week longer for their opening match of the Premier League season.
Today at Nana Konamansah Park, the team took to the pitch to welcome Bibiani Gold Stars on matchday 2 of the 2022/23 league campaign.
Despite not being fancied prior to kick-off, Nsoatreman FC dominated the game throughout the 90 minutes.
Thanks to a penalty kick converted by Samuel Ofori in the 71st minute, the hosts secured a 1-0 win to bag the maximum three points.
The defeat means that Bibiani Gold Stars have lost all two matches played this season.
There is huge pressure on head coach Michael Osei to win the next match of the season.
