Italian Serie A club, Udinese Calcio have announced the signing of Ghanaian prodigy Raymond Asante.
In an official club statement on Friday, August 26, the club said it has signed the talented teenager on a five-year contract.
Raymond Asante, 18, has joined Udinese from Ghana Division One League club Young Apostles.
“Udinese Calcio announces that it has signed the footballer Raymond Asante, a Ghanaian striker born in 2004 from the Young Apostles Football Club.
“Offensive winger capable of playing even behind the striker, Asante is gifted with great speed and creativity in one-on-one and a good football on goal.
“He joined Udinese until June 30, 2027. Welcome Raymond,” a statement from Udinese has said today.
Raymond Asante this season will play for the Udinese youth team to learn the ways of the club.
Depending on how fast he adapts and impress the technical handlers at the club, he could fight his way into the first team even before the 2022/23 football season ends.
