
The New Patriotic Party has elected Mr John Boadu as National Chairman and a new team of national executives to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years.
Mr Boadu, a former General Secretary of the party, polled 2,888 votes at the party's National Executive Conference in Kumasi on Saturday.
Mr Justin Kodua Frimpong was re-elected General Secretary with 4,486 votes, while Mr Kojo Fosu Boadu, Mr Henry Nana Boakye, Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hamid and Mr Nana Akomea were elected National Vice Chairpersons.
Mr Alfred Kojo Thompson was elected National Treasurer with 2,243 votes, while Mr Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover became National Organiser with 2,964 votes.
Mr Abagna Yakubu Fusani was elected Youth Organiser with 1,550 votes, while Ms Mavis Hawa Koomson became Women's Organiser with 782 votes.
Mr Mohammed Ali Suraj was elected National Nasara Organiser with 372 votes, while Mr Dennis Edward Miracles Aboagye was elected Communication Director.
The new executives are expected to lead the party's organisational and political activities over the next four years, including efforts to return the NPP to power in 2028.
