The Ghana male senior national team has moved up three places and now occupies the 49th position on the Coca-Cola FIFA World Rankings.
Nicknamed the Black Stars, the West Africa giants in the last edition of the rankings place 52nd on the back of a defeat to Sudan in the qualifiers to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Following a crucial draw against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa as well as a win against Sao Tome & Principe in the AFCON qualifiers, Ghana has earned points to improve its position.
The country is now placed 49th in the latest Coca-Cola FIFA World Rankings released by the World football governing body.
On the African continent, Ghana has moved up as well and now sits 7th behind Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria, Algeria, Morocco, and Egypt.
