Nollywood actress Blessing Onwukwe, widely known as Mama Monica, has shared a candid reflection on her single status and the pressures that come with it.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, the actress addressed the reality of her relationship status, admitting that while she is indeed single and occasionally feels lonely, she still desires love. However, she made it clear that she refuses to put her life on hold waiting for a romantic partner.
She stated that she will continue to build and live her life to the fullest, adding that if no one comes along, she will remain grateful for having lived a life she is proud of.
In the caption accompanying the post, the movie star addressed the concerns of her loved ones. She noted that being single at her age deeply worries those who care about her, as they frequently ask about her relationship status and plans for children.
The actress playfully responded to these inquiries, telling them not to worry and assuring them that she is on it. She questioned why they were so fearful, stating that she is doing just fine and wondering what the worst possible outcome could be.
She said:
"Am i single? Yes. Do i feel lonely? sometimes. Do i want love? Yes. Am i going to put my life on hold for it? No!. I would continue building and living my life the best way i know how. If nobody comes, then i would be grateful i lived the life i am proud of."
