Peter Okoye Accuses Rudeboy Of Using Every Opportunity To Bring Him Down

Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, has called out his twin brother Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, for allegedly taking advantage of public scrutiny to undermine him.

The accusation followed Rudeboy's recent public distancing from Peter's controversial comment questioning the relevance of Nigerian languages.

The Nigerian Voice recently reported that Peter sparked backlash after responding to a fan's question about his children's ability to speak Igbo with the statement, "Who Naija language help?" In reaction, Rudeboy posted on X that he is proudly Igbo and Nigerian, insisting he is a "nobody" without his native culture and language.

In his response, Peter expressed frustration over his brother's repeated pattern of joining bandwagons to tarnish his image.

He stated that while he accepts the criticism over his remark, he finds it troubling that Rudeboy consistently twists his words and exploits such moments to fuel public negativity against him.

He wrote:
"But again, bro, you're at it again, using this moment as another opportunity to pull me down. Just like I wrote in my open letter two years ago, doing everything possible to make people hate me will never work."

"Yes, people are dragging me over my statement, and that is okay. I accept that. But deliberately twisting my words and using petty tactics to damage my reputation says a lot."

"I don't know why you look for every opportunity to make derisive comments or jump on the bandwagon whenever I am being attacked."
