It was reported a few weeks ago that one of Africa's great, Femi Kuti had gone under the knife. After the news which was leaked by his sister Yeni Anikulapo Kuti, filtered through the public, many began to enquire what the issue must have been.
With no news of the Grammy nominated artiste being sick, it was with great shock that the public heard of the emergency surgery. Most of the worried fans took to Twitter to ask their idol what took him into surgery.
In a tweet reply posted at 10pm Nigerian time on 24th November 2015, the musician, who is both the son and protege of afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, explained that he had battled hernia for two years, and the unbearable pain, led to surgery.
The self professed traditionalist, is back in Lagos, and is already playing his weekly show at the new Africa Shrine.
