Top Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji has reacted to rumours that she is pregnant for Nigerian music star, D'banj of Mo Hits records.
The cover of News of the People magazine published in Lagos, Nigeria last week had as one of its headlines; “Pregnancy tail trails Genevieve.”
But the actress reacting to the rumors said, “I don't want to dignify one person's act of boredom with a response really, but the truth is that there's nothing to respond to.”
“The months will tell the truth. I have heard worse lies concerning me, but at least this time, its good news even though it's not true,” she said.
Genevieve's love affair with the Koko Master, D'banj, which was reported March last year, has constantly come under the radar both in Nigeria and internationally due to their popularity.
After several denials, D'banj publicly confirmed the relationship to reporters saying he truly loves her.
“....Oh well, like I just told you now, Genevieve is my girlfriend, in fact I don't like using that word, she is my baby, she's my everything and I love her. We are both very mature people and we are also very private people.
“There's a big difference between our public lives and our private lives. We would like to take it one step at a time right now and would appreciate it if people will respect our need for privacy at this time.”
