Ghana Appoints A Committee For The Startup Act As Pef And Kas Affirmed Their Support

The just ended 2019 Young Entrepreneur’s Round table Discussions organized by the Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs saw a 7-member committee inaugurated to lead the advocacy and to drive the enactment of the Ghana Startup Act. Prior to this, the Africa Entrepreneurship Dialogue (AFED) and the Ghana Chamber Of Young Entrepreneurs (GCYE) decided to join efforts to push strongly for the enactment of the Ghana Startup Act.

The committee was made up by: Ernest Agyenim-Boateng, Executive Chairman of Akwaaba Feeds Ltd, a poultry Feed Manufacturing Company and also the Snr Technical Advisor to the Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs.

Justice Offei Jr, a Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur; the Founding President of Africa Entrepreneurship Dialogue ( AFED) and currently appointed as the country Director for Global Entreprenuership Momitor (GEM) Ghana.

Emmanuel Ansah-Amprofi Chief Operating Officer of Trotro Tractor Ltd. Trotro Tractor is a company using the internet of things (IoT) and technology to change the lives of smallholder farmers.

Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro-Agyei (aka Trigmatric ) A musician and Entrepreneur and also a member of the Chamber. Enyonam K. Mc Wonder, Chief Executive Officer of Biz Trends and also the host of Biz Trends TV Show on GH One with a focus on Start-Ups and SME’s.

Esther Appah, a young female entrepreneur and a member of the Chamber.

His selfless passion for the Ghanaian entrepreneurial ecosystem drove him to initiate the Ghana Startup Act advocacy in 2018 which has then become the leading agenda for most stakeholders in Ghana

In 2019, he was appointed as the team leader to set up the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Ghana.
