Yeji (B/A), June 6, GNA - Three pregnant girls are partaking in the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at Yeji, capital of the Pru District in the Brong-Ahafo Region.
This was made known when Mr Augustus Awity, the District Coordinating Director visited four of the examination centres in Yeji on Monday.
Accompanied by Mr Saddique Karim, the District Examination Coordinator, Mr Awity visited the Yeji Secondary Technical Cluster centres A, B, C and the Sawaba Exams Centre.
Mr Awity commended the expectant girls for the bold decision they made in choosing to participate in the exams.
He also praised the authorities of the various centres for the smooth conduct of the examination activities.
Mr Awity asked the candidates to abide by set rules and guidelines and avoid cheating in the exams.
A total of 2 364 candidates are writing the BECE in 10 centres in the district and this consists of 1 338 boys and 1, 026 girls, from 63 schools.
