Accra, Aug. 19, GNA - The death is announced of Mr. Albert Adomakoh a Governor of the Bank of Ghana in the First Republic.
Information from a family source said the late Mr. Adomakoh passed away on August 16, 2016 at the age of 94 years.
Mr Adomako who was the founding Managing Director of the National Investment Bank, also served as Commissioner for Agriculture in the government of the National Liberation Council.
He was former Assistant Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, and Director of Investments at the World Bank.
He is survived by his wife Fitnat, five children and extended family members.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later, the source said.
