Nana Addo Must Leave The Media Jokes Of Fighting Corruption And Save NPP

One of the most talked about promises on the lips of Flagbearer Akufo- Addo is to make corruption a thing of the past in his government. In fact according to him (Akufo-Addo) he is too old to steal young Ghana, as if he’s not too old to rule young Ghana.

Now let the truth be told, those of us who supported him knew that he can never make it possible since he failed to sanitized same in his party’s financial management, but I kept selling his promises just to get support for him. Most importantly, we believed that even though he cannot equal the cedi to the dollar, he can stabilize the peace of the country via the system.

Many years down the line as flagbearer, it’s obvious that it was a scam of the century. Before our eyes, the unity of the NPP is crumbling and for the first time in history, a National Chairman has fallen to his lowest exchanging suspension to misdemeanor. Now this is a cause for concern.

Akufo-Addo cannot pretend to be doing orgasm show of fighting corruption when the soul of his party is going down faster than we ever had it. The constitutional fall of a political party is the fall of the party. Make no mistake about it, the big men have dollars piled up in their houses and are rejoicing over this fall.

The fight against corruption will yield no gain with the current way it’s being fought, with party members purposely leaking documents to the media instead of charging the accused to court. Akufo Addo should as a matter of urgency do everything within the law to see that the illegalities in his party is restored; unless we may soon begin to use Ghana must go to carry corruption. We are that close already.

Akufo-Addo should dwell less on fighting this so called corruption and devote time to governing his party. We did not elect you to start fighting corruption, even though we agree it should be done, but life should be made comfortable for citizens.

At the moment, things are hard and the fault lies solely on Akufo-Addo’s shoulder. To say that things are hard because the places of preventing looting money are now plucked and sealed up is an argument for the dumb brains.

Truth be told, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is yet to get a grasp of this party and even yet to understand the workings of a modern democratic leadership and if he will admit it, I can volunteer to teach him. The Unity of the party must not be this devalued.
