Dompoase (Ash), March 01, GNA - The Dompoase Senior High School (SHS) has appealed for increased support to improve the infrastructure - classrooms, laboratories, dormitories and teachers accommodation, for effective teaching and learning.
Ms. Doris Bimpong, the Headmistress, said there was a need for massive resource investment to create the right environment for academic work and make the school the preferred choice of students.
The situation where students sought admission there only after they had failed to gain entry into their favorite SHS.
She, however, pledged to continue to work hard with energy and passion to enhance academic performance.
She applauded steps the government taken to transform and make conditions better.
Ms. Bimpong cited the tarring of roads to remove the dust nuisance that the students and their teachers had been forced to endure over the years.
The contractors awarded the job are making good progress and barring any unforeseen circumstances the project would be ready on schedule.
She also hailed the parent-teacher association (PTA) for providing the school with a generator to assure it of uninterrupted power supply.
The SHS established in 1974, presently has a student population
