
Accra, Feb. 11, GNA - The Founder and Group Chairman of Kasapreko Company Limited, Dr Kwabena Adjei has won the prestigious Master Entrepreneur award at this year's West African edition of Ernst and Young's (EY) World Entrepreneur of the year awards.
At the awards ceremony held in Lagos, Nigeria, Dr Adjei was named ahead of three other contenders to take home the coveted award, the Company said in a statement, copied to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday.
'He will be inducted into the World Entrepreneur of the Year Hall of Fame,' the statement added.
The statement said scooping the master entrepreneur award paves the way for Dr Adjei to battle it out with other global entrepreneurs for the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year award to be held in June in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
The EY World Entrepreneur of the Year Award programme is to recognise the accomplishments of entrepreneurs around the globe.
It aims at recognising the world's most successful and innovative entrepreneurs by identifying and celebrating their outstanding achievements within successful growing of dynamic businesses.
According to the statement, other award winners included Kinapharma's Managing Director, Mr Kofi Nsiah-Poku, who won the Emerging Entrepreneur Award and Sir Sam Jonah who scooped the Lifetime Achievement Award.
