I’ve Been An NDC Member Since 1992 – Zanetor Rawlings

Dr. Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings’ membership as a true NDC had been at the center of discussion among party functionaries in the Korle Klottey Constituency from the very first day she made public her desire to contest the seat on the ticket of the ruling party.

Although the controversy surrounding Zanetor’s membership has been put to rest – she has explained her involvement in ‘akatamanso’ activities.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Montie, Zanetor maintained that she has been a member of the party since 90s.

“I was part of the party when it started in 1992. The only issue is that, I wasn’t at the age where I could register as a member because I had not as yet attained the voting age. I was present at all major campaigns during that time.

“…Actually I have pictures of me wearing NDC T-shirt during the 1990s…I will make it available for Peacefmonline.com,” she told host Kwasi Aboagye

The daughter of former President John Jerry Rawlings was on Thursday cleared by the leadership of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to contest the party’s upcoming parliamentary primaries.
