The first FIFA rankings after the World Cup 2014 in Brazil has Ghana positioned 38th after dropping one place from the previous June ranking.
Ghana, who exited the World Cup in the first round co-share the position with Hungary with either side level on 642 points apiece.
The Black Stars are now fifth on the continental table. Algeria remain on top followed by Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Egypt in that order.
New world champions, Germany are now number one followed by Argentina and the Netherlands.
The results of 111 international “A” matches have been taken into account for the current edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking, of which 64 were played at the World Cup in Brazil, 46 were friendlies and one was a CONCACAF continental qualifier.
