A delegation from Volvo Truck, led by the Senior Vice President, Dominique Pollien, is on an official visit to Ghana as proof of the importance of the country as a major hub for the Volvo group in sub-Saharan Africa.
The visit, according to Mr. Pollien, will help members of the delegation to acquaint themselves with the operations of SMT Ghana, authorized dealers of Volvo construction equipment, Volvo trucks, Volvo Penta & Volvo Bus, among others.
The delegation toured the branches of SMT Ghana in Accra and Tarkwa.
SMT Ghana, a subsidiary of the SMT Group is the official importer of Volvo construction equipment and has 17 branches in 12 countries in West & Central Africa.
Speaking to the media in an interview, the Managing Director of SMT Ghana, Denis Pylyser, reiterated that SMT Ghana was delighted to represent such premium brand- Volvo, which is one of the world's leading manufacturers of quality construction equipment.
He said his outfit had invested a lot to strength the partnership with the Volvo brand through the establishment of its three branches in Accra, Tarkwa and Kumasi.
'To achieve this, it's vital for us to build a strong relationship with our customers, we would like to be part of our customers' growth in their business by providing a state-of-the-art after-sales support and being available at all times,' he said.
He announced that SMT Ghana had launched a finance facility which finances as high as 85 percent of the total value of trucks and machines.
