GNA

Winneba (C/R), April 30, GNA- The Member of Parliament for Effutu, Mr Mike Allan Hammah, has made an appeal to Effutus to let brotherliness and a deeper sense of fellow feeling guide them during next Saturday's "Aboakyir festival.

Addressing a group of young men and women after a three-hour keep fit exercise that took them to and from Mankoadze, Mr Hammah said it is only through absolute peace and understanding that could help them develop the Effutu traditional area.

He said as future leaders the youth in the area have a responsibility to work towards the general well-being of the traditional area.

Mr Hammah asked church and other religious leaders in the area to always impress upon their followers to champion the course of peace, love and unity.

He urged the people to take the advice given to them by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) a few days ago to ensure peaceful festival.
