We the NPP youth in the diaspora are sadden by the story of the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA).
As we know, SADA was created to coordinate development to bridge the gap between the north and south. SADA symbolizes a ray of hope for the desolated people of the north, but its operations have been embroiled by alleged corruption and improper award of contracts.
Since its inception, SADA has been fraught with improper award of contracts, sole sourcing, and inflated cost of project with nothing to show for. Through Mahama and its appointees, SADA is now synonymous with corruption.
For a democratic country where rule of law is the foundation of the society, one would reasonably expect that, those whose actions led to the gargantuan financial loss to the state would have been reprimanded by the appropriate state institution. However, President Mahama has used his political clout and office to prevent that from happening.
This is sad and pathetic, especially when the culprits are also sons and daughters of the north.
We strongly believe that the Mahama Administration is complicit in this scandalous and wanton usurpation of state resources and has therefore closed their eyes on such issue.
The fact that the abuse of public fund is affecting the people and our economy as a whole means nothing to the Mahama government of friends and family (apologies to Alban Bagbin).
We NPP GLOBAL YOUTH believe that, this issue must be taken serious and all culprits must be brought to book. The problems of the North affect every Ghanaian. We are all in this together. NPP GLOBAL YOUTH will join our brothers in the North to pursue this fight to make sure every pesewa is accounted for.
Should the Mahama led government refuse to bring the culprits to book, we will besiege the Ghana Consulate to register our protest.
There is no Northern Ghana or Southern Ghana, but the Republic of Ghana.
Long Live the NPP GLOBAL YOUTH
