‘A Shelter For Love’ Premieres On Viasat1 December 5

Viasat1 will on Wednesday December 5, premiere another hit telenovela 'A Shelter For Love', which will replace Eva Luna as it draws down the curtains on Tuesday.

Based on an original story by one of the most successful telenovela writers of all time, Delia Fiallo, 'A Shelter For Love' also known as “Un Refugio Para el Amor” centres on Zuria Vega and Gabriel Soto. The two, knowing that their love is impossible due to class differences, existing relationships and rivalries that lead to lies, schemes and jealousy, still can't help surrendering to their feelings.

Luciana (Zuria Vega) is a beautiful young woman who lives with her family in a rural part of northern México. When tragedy strikes their farm and her father dies of a heart attack, the powerful and evil Don Aquiles (Humberto Elizondo), the town's most feared tyrant, becomes obsessed with marrying Luciana against her will, which drives her to run away and start a new life in México City. There, to make ends meet, she accepts a job in a bar, where she has an altercation with a customer who tries to take advantage of her.

A lawyer comes to her defense, and feeling sorry for the girl, he helps her find work as a maid at the prominent Torreslanda family's mansion.

Rodrigo Torreslanda (Gabriel Soto) is a handsome and wealthy businessman whose younger brother, Patricio (Brandon Peniche) is recovering from a tragic climbing accident that left him quadriplegic. Luciana's arrival at their home changes the lives of both men.

As Luciana tends to Patricio with kindness and tenderness, he comes to feel an immense affection for her, recovering the will to live. Meanwhile, Rodrigo, who is engaged to the gold-digging Gala (Jessica Coch), finds himself falling hopelessly in love with the young maid who is so selflessly caring for his ill brother.

The feeling is mutual, and while both know that their love is practically impossible and that their relationship will only generate friction and disapproval, Rodrigo and Luciana can't help themselves and succumb to an uncontrollable passion. When Rodrigo breaks his engagement in order to marry Luciana, Gala refuses to accept it — just as his family refuses to allow him to marry her.

Now the target of intense jealousy, ruthless lies, and the most intricate evil schemes, Luciana's life becomes a living nightmare and the love that she and Rodrigo feel for each other is put to the ultimate test.

'A Shelter For Love' will air on Viasat1 from Mondays to Thursdays at 6:30pm, starting this Wednesday. Following a successful run of Eva Luna, which ends Tuesdays, we believe A Shelter For Love will also attract more viewers to our channel.
