
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, August 31, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- The African Union Commission today hosted an entertainment and cultural event as part of its 3rd Pan African Cultural Congress (PACC3). The congress is being held at the AU headquarters in Addis, from the 28th to 30th August.
The event gave delegates an opportunity to visit an exhibition titled “Promoting Together the African Cultural Renaissance”, which was put together by the African Union Commission's Department of Social Affairs in collaboration with the German Embassy, and the GIZ.
Speaking at the entertainment event, the Commissioner for Social Affairs of the African Union, Advocate Bience Gawanas expressed the hope that the artworks on exhibition would contribute to the development of African nations as well as promoting the spirit of Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.
